Gainsborough House, Newcastle

The Client had acquired planning approval to replace the existing contemporary signage with a traditional hand-lettered sign on a coveted building situated on Grey Street, widely regarded as one of Newcastle’s most architecturally important streets. To ensure a harmonious and cohesive aesthetic, we proposed several font styles that were consistent with those featured on nearby structures. After the client and planners had provided their approvals, our skilled mason proceeded to carve the original name of the building onto the sandstone fascia panels positioned above the main entrance with utmost precision and care.
