The Sill, Once Brewed, Northumberland

Classic Masonry was appointed for the selection, supply and installation of sandstone and whinstone gabion walling for the award-winning Northumberland National Park Visitor Centre near Hadrian’s Wall. The company collaborated closely with the Main Contractor and Client to identify a suitable source of whinstone; an essential component of the design based on the historical significance of the project’s location on the whinstone escarpment of Hadrian’s Wall.  The final style and nature of walling for the principal wall elevations were also developed by Classic Masonry in collaboration with the design team.
